Hebrew for English Speakers
Ulpan4U — Hebrew for English Speakers
Our Ulpan specializes in studying Hebrew for English speakers!
Our Ulpan Ulpan4U - Spoken Hebrew School teaches Hebrew exclusively to Russian speakers. And the result of this is that our students are already making up phrases in Hebrew after 2 months. We use practice, not theory, and everything is based on English LanguageWe start switching to Hebrew when students already have a basic knowledge, in order to strengthen their knowledge and increase their vocabulary.
In state ulpans you will be taught exclusively in Hebrew, since the teachers do not know Russian. And since the students in the ulpan will be from different countries. Just look at the numbers. The latest study in 2020 showed that students who graduated from the state ulpan with honors, 87% cannot say anything. They cannot form normal sentences in Hebrew, and do not understand over 81% of what is said to them.
There are many reasons for the lack of success. But one of the main ones is that students are not taught in their native language. And students are simply afraid to say that they do not understand. Of course, there are excellent students, but there are always not many of them.
The Key to Success - Learn only what is necessary!
Many ulpans pride themselves on teaching you vowels and high-level grammar. But they forget the main factor. In order to speak and write fluently, you only need basic grammar!
An exampleAsk yourself a simple question: if you are learning to drive a car, do you need to know the size of the bolts, where they were manufactured, and what material they are made of? The same applies to Hebrew vowel marks. Why learn them if you will never see them outside the Ulpan? There is a common misconception that knowing vowel marks will make learning easier Hebrew — that's nonsense! You will simply spend more time reading, focusing on individual letters instead of entire words. And once you finish Ulpan, you will be shocked to realize that no one uses vowel marks in Israel does not apply. And in fact, many ulpans hide the fact that this is not modern Hebrew. And that their curriculum is simply outdated.
We will tell you a shocking fact: most Israelis know Hebrew grammar very poorly. But this does not prevent them from speaking correctly and calmly!
Therefore, we devote minimal time to grammar. And we practice speaking more, and write correctly what we say!
Small classes are our advantage!
Very often students are lured with free Hebrew lessons. But you will be surprised! Because together with you there will be 30-40 more students, and all from different countries.
Our classes consist of up to 10 people. This means that each student receives maximum attention and can quickly learn Hebrew. The tutor has the opportunity to correct himself, and not stupidly conduct the program without taking into account the abilities of each student.
Ulpan4U - Modern Hebrew!
The most interesting thing is that all the programs of most ulpans were written in the last century. Much has changed. Because Hebrew is revived, and it is constantly changing. You can’t teach students what was relevant in 1950. Our form of education takes into account not only modern Hebrew, but also gadgets, programs and interactive games that help in learning.
Dear students, if you want to learn the Hebrew that Israelis actually use, then this is the place for you! You will immerse yourself in a pleasant Hebrew learning environment that no other Ulpan can offer. We look forward to seeing you!
