There is access to all the materials necessary for learning, which the teacher uses in the lesson - audio / video materials, presentations, etc. During the course, the teacher can divide the students into groups to analyze individual exercises, composing and analyzing dialogues. All this is to ensure that the Hebrew courses are as effective as possible.

Ulpan is designed for immersion, Hebrew will almost always be the only language spoken in the classroom. Teachers are generally not prepared to translate terms into other languages. Instead, they will use the words that students have already learned and the context of the material itself to convey the meaning of new terms. It will be much easier for you if you always have a Hebrew-Russian dictionary on hand in class.

• Some students bring a voice recorder to classes and make recordings of lessons, which they then listen to at home.

• You shouldn’t be late for classes and, especially, skip them. The training takes place at a fairly fast pace, and any absences can cause problems.

• Learning Hebrew is a mutual process between you, your teacher and your classmates. Take an active part in the lessons, help your classmates and don’t be shy about asking others for help if you need it.

• Initiate contacts with native Israelis. This will help increase your vocabulary and provide incentive to use the language. Do not be embarrassed by mistakes and accept corrections offered with gratitude.

• Actively use Hebrew-language media and literature. Reading newspapers, magazines and books (preferably children's books to start with), listening to the radio, watching television programs (primarily educational programs for young children, where Hebrew is more grammatically correct than in popular entertainment programs, and their hosts speak more slowly), plays and films are not
